| Reiki |
|
Reiki is a Japanese word for Universal Life Energy and is a form of energy healing. A Reiki session is a treat of relaxation. During a Reiki session, the client remains fully clothed and the practitioner places her hands on or near the client’s body moving from chakra to chakra. The practitioner works from head to toe and the client experiences peace and relaxation. Reiki has been known to relieve headaches and other body aches and to increase the body’s ability to fight off colds or minor illness when performed at the onset of the illness. Literature pertaining to Reiki provides examples of lab tests done before the Reiki sessions and after the Reiki sessions and shows positive improvements in the results. Reiki clients have experienced reductions in blood pressure, improvement of warts, relief of menstrual cramps and even expedited healing of broken bones. Reiki is great for everyone. People who suffer from chronic pain or who have had recent surgery appreciate the calming, relaxing benefits of Reiki. Wells Therapeutics hosts a monthly Reiki Share - usually scheduled at 6:30 on the second Sunday of the month. The cost is $5 - 80 percent of the proceeds are donated to charity. Check our calendar for more details.
