Paula Graham

Paula Graham thinks of herself as a musculoskeletal detective working with clients to resolve soft tissue pain, injuries and range of motion limitations. A 2002 graduate of Fuller School of Massage, Paula has expanded on that training by taking advanced courses in neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, active isolated stretching, and myoskeletal alignment technique. She is currently pursuing certification in orthopedic massage, as well as neuromuscular therapy. Both of these specialties focus on assessment and systematic treatment of soft tissue dysfunction to identify and resolve the source of pain quickly. Paula was drawn to this work after treating people who think that they have to live with pain and curtail their activities after finding no relief in the western medical system. Although there are no “magic” cures, Paula doesn’t give up easily.

Because we all need to relax and muscles need maintenance, even when they aren’t hurting, Paula also offers general therapeutic massage in addition to her specific injury treatments.

In her spare time, Paula is a competitive racewalker, an active member of the Tidewater Striders Running/Walking/Multisport Club, makes handmade paper, and is an avid gardener.
